AFL tipping round 14: See who the experts are backing

When the doldrums based Carlton fans saw Gold Coast in Qld next up, they wouldn’t have been filled with confidence. See who the experts are picking in round 14.

There are only six matches in round 14, but that doesn’t make tipping easy this week.

Port Adelaide is a strong favourite at home against Geelong and there aren’t many tipsters backing Sydney to upset to Lions in Brisbane or North Melbourne to snap its 11-game losing streak against the Bulldogs.

The other three matches are a lot trickier.

The Giants are trying to win two in a row when they host Fremantle, the Blues will be desperate to sing the song when they face Gold Coast and Richmond and St Kilda face off in a toss-of-the-coin clash on Saturday night.

The Saints are fifth on the ladder but the Tigers have won two in a row under caretaker coach Andrew McQualter. Then there’s the Trent Cotchin factor. The three-time premiership captain becomes the sixth Richmond player to reach the 300-game milestone and played his best game of the season last week against Fremantle.

Will that be enough to get the Tigers over the line?
