Charles Darwin University has improved its ranking in the latest Australian universities student satisfaction survey.
The Territory’s only university finished 23rd out of 43 universities in the survey, easily accounting for a number of better-fancied academies including the University of Melbourne, which ranked last.
CDU’s satisfaction rating climbed to 73 per cent, a hike of 4.5 per cent on the previous 12 months.
The local uni ranked just behind Charles Sturt and Macquarie universities and above University of Western Australia.
CDU Vice-Chancellor Scott Bowman said the university had been striving to give students a quality tertiary experience.
“CDU is focused on providing a positive and enriching experience for all our students, whether it be on-campus or for those studying online,” Professor Bowman said.
“These results are a testament to our educators, staff and the student supports we have in place at CDU to enrich student learning beyond the classroom.
“By building the capacity of our lecturers, staff, and those that have critical touchpoints with our students we will ensure Territory students and beyond have the very best education.
“We are now above the national university average for entire educational experience and in regards to teaching quality, we have improved our rankings among other leading Australian universities.”
