US President Donald Trump has blasted “unheard of” polls showing low approval ratings on the eve of his 100th day in office — calling on the “fake news” outlets behind them to be investigated for election fraud.

The commander-in-chief took aim at the recent New York Times and ABC/Washington Post surveys that indicate sinking support, declaring that “they suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

“The New York Times has only 37 per cent Trump 2024 voters, and the ABC/Washington Post Poll has only 34 per cent Trump Voters, unheard of numbers unless looking for a negative result, which they are,” he raged in a Truth Social post.

“These people should be investigated for ELECTION FRAUD, and add in the FoxNews Pollster while you’re at it.

“They are Negative Criminals who apologise to their subscribers and readers after I WIN ELECTIONS BIG, much bigger than their polls showed I would win, loose a lot of credibility, and then go on cheating and lying for the next cycle, only worse,” he seethed in the post.

“They suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome, and there is nothing that anyone, or anything, can do about it. THEY ARE SICK,” he added.

It comes after a handful of surveys released over the weekend all showed Mr Trump’s standing slipping significantly — including one suggesting he has the lowest ratings for a new presidential term since World War II.

In the Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos, Mr Trump’s standing was the lowest of any president in the first 100 days of his term since 1945, with 39 per cent saying they approve of his job performance.

The New York Times/Siena College poll gauged his overall approval at 42 per cent.

‘GOOD LUCK TO THE GREAT PEOPLE OF CANADA’

Mr Trump has encouraged Canadians to vote for their Conservative Party as polls open.

While Mr Trump has always stopped short of outright endorsing opposition leader Pierre Poilievre, Elon Musk has done so.

The last polls will close at 12pm AEST with a result expected in the hours afterwards.

“Good luck to the Great people of Canada. Elect the man who has the strength and wisdom to cut your taxes in half, increase your military power, for free, to the highest level in the World, have your Car, Steel, Aluminium, Lumber, Energy, and all other businesses, QUADRUPLE in size, WITH ZERO TARIFFS OR TAXES, if Canada becomes the cherished 51st. State of the United States of America,” Mr Trump wrote.

“No more artificially drawn line from many years ago. Look how beautiful this land mass would be. Free access with NO BORDER. ALL POSITIVES WITH NO NEGATIVES. IT WAS MEANT TO BE!

“America can no longer subsidise Canada with the Hundreds of Billions of Dollars a year that we have been spending in the past. It makes no sense unless Canada is a State!”

WHITE HOUSE LINES LAWN WITH ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS’ MUGSHOTS

Meanwhile, 100 posters depicting mugshots of the alleged “worst of the worst” illegal immigrants arrested since Donald Trump took office have been erected on the White House lawn to mark his first 100 days back in office.

Emblazoned under the word “arrested”, the posters feature the name, mugshot and alleged crime committed by each person.

In a statement, the White House said the posters were erected to highlight “the Trump Administration’s unprecedented effort to secure our homeland and send these vicious criminals back where they belong”.

Among those featured include a Jamaican national convicted of first degree murder, a Burkina Faso citizen convicted of rape, and a Mexican national convicted of murder and aggravated battery.

The President is expected to continue his crackdown on illegal immigration on Monday and will sign further executive orders aimed at “restoring law and order and securing the homeland”.
