SHOCKING video has emerged of a major wall collapse at the same mine which claimed the life of a worker on the weekend.
The video, leaked to the NT News, shows tonnes of rock and dirt hurtling down the wall at Bootu Creek Mine, within metres of an excavator and trucks.
The excavator disappears from view, engulfed in a cloud of dust.
The incident is eerily similar to the collapse which killed 59-year-old Craig Butler on Saturday afternoon.
The video has been shot from the top of the pit looking down into the site, 130km north of Tennant Creek.
FIRST picture: police show where miner is trapped
It is understood the video is of a previous pit wall collapse, not the one involving Mr Butler.
Mr Butler was buried under about 48,000 cubic meters of dirt and rock when a pit wall collapsed.
Authorities have been unable to retrieve his body.
Primary Industry and Resources Minister Paul Kirby previously said he had heard of at least two separate alleged incidents in the same mine pit Mr Butler was trapped in.

But he has refused to comment on specifics.
Miners at the site have also alleged safety issues had previously been raised with management but not acted upon.
OM Holdings have told the NT News they would not comment about the previous two alleged safety problems.
The NT News has put the miner’s other allegations to the company and will add their response if and when it comes.
OM Holdings were contacted for comment in regards to the video but have not responded.
