The annual awards ceremony recognises women who go above and beyond to make our community and the Gold Coast a better place.

The winner of each category - as chosen by a panel of judges - and the People’s Choice will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony at The Star Gold Coast on September 16.

Tickets can be purchased online here.

And don’t forget to read up about each of the finalists and the amazing work they do here.

The 2022 winner was Gold Coast businesswoman Cherie Uzan, the brains behind Palm Beach dining destination Balboa and also the Valley Estate, which she started during the shackles of Covid.

Harvey Norman CEO Katie Page, a longtime supporter and backer of the awards, last year highlighted it as a great way to give back to the Gold Coast which holds a very special place in her heart.

“We consider the Gold Coast our second home. With the Gold Coast Women of the Year awards and the fabulous women we have every year coming through, you see they are talking about the same thing. They are from very diverse backgrounds but are talking about leadership in the same way and it’s bringing people around you, sharing your values, contributing to society so for me to be able to be part of this night, to be leading a company like Harvey Normal that supports women in this way is extraordinarily important.”

She added: “Our Gold Coast community has the vibrancy and opportunity of a major city, coupled with, uniquely, the care and attention to the individual normally only found in a country town.

“The women of the Gold Coast are at the heart of this compelling combination. The community they are responsible for creating is magnetic.

“We can see it attracting families and investment to the Coast. The growth of our city is thanks to these women.

“The Gold Coast Bulletin Women of the Year Awards is our chance to recognise the women in our midst for making the Gold Coast such a wonderful lifestyle choice.

“Please take the time to think about the women in your life, consider their enormous contribution and thank them by nominating them in the 2023 Gold Coast Women of the Year awards.”
