The physiotherapist and founder of The Wellness Boutique specialises in pre and post-natal care, offering birth preparation and specific work to help with risk factors for delivery and reducing risk of injury down the track.

Seven television personality Liz Cantor nominated her in the ‘Wellness Warrior’ category for this year’s Gold Coast Bulletin Women of the Year by Harvey Norman, saying the Burleigh based mum of two helped her maintain not only her health but her mindset in the lead up to the birth of her third child. It followed physical complications with her second birth.

“She has dedicated thousands and thousands of hours to women’s health and come up with a safe space on the Gold Coast for those paddling physical restrictions to find healing,” Ms Cantor said.

Ms Gillham, who has been helping women in this way since 2016, said her biggest driver was supporting women through one of the most challenging stages of their lives: “Pregnancy and birth is one of the biggest things women will ever go through and being there and being able to support women, whether they’re having a great pregnancy or maybe a more challenging one is very fulfilling.

“It’s amazing to be able to help someone through that transition and also to see them on the other side.

“To have someone supporting you, helping you through and knowing you’re not alone in raising a newborn by yourself – I think really makes a difference to have that village and that community and expert individualised help.

“It really does take a village and I feel privileged to be part of this village.”
