Top End: motorcyclist dies on Litchfield Park Rd
It is believed a man who died in a crash, aged in his 60s, came off his motorcycle after experiencing a medical episode. Here’s what we know.

A motorcyclist has been killed after crashing in Litchfield National Park on the weekend.
About midday on Saturday, a man aged in his 60s ran off the road and came off his motorcycle on Litchfield Park Rd, about three kilometres north of the termite mounds.
The man was treated by off duty nurses who commenced CPR on-site, however the man was confirmed deceased.
It is believed the deceased man may have had a medical episode which caused the crash.
NT Police confirmed the matter had been handed over to Major Crash and Criminal Investigation Branch detectives from Darwin to further investigate the circumstances around the crash.
The latest death brings the Territory’s road fatality toll to 30 lives lost so far in 2024, just one short of the entire total for last year.
At the same time in 2023, only six people had been killed on Territory roads.
