Hold on tight — our 120 Most Powerful Territorians list is back. And this year, it’s got more attitude than ever

THE NT News’ 120 Most Powerful Territorians list has kicked off for 2019 and it’s certainly got people talking.

Numbers 120-101 were revealed exclusively right here on ntnews.com.au on Saturday with the biggest talking point being where we finally placed ICAC Commissioner Ken Fleming QC this year. And we mean finally, literally.

Last year we made him the Territory’s No.1 Most Powerful person. This year we had a tough time keeping him on the list at all and he just barely scraped in at position No. 120.

Some say The List is a curse, with many who make it to the pointy end often doomed to slip way down the positions the next year, or off it completely. Just ask Ken Vowles after he placed so highly at No. 3 last year!

Today, we reveal numbers 100-81 (below) and there are some big names who may have expected to be much higher on the list.

Opposition Leader Gary Higgins (No. 92) does come in higher than his spot at No. 108 last year but there is still no sign of his deputy Lia Finocchiaro yet.

Is she higher than her own leader this year? Or maybe she didn’t make it at all?
