STUDENTS across the Territory woke up this morning to see the result of a year’s hard work, stress and commitment.

In total, 1373 Territory students officially received their Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (NTCET) today.

Out of that number, 197 indigenous students completed their NTCET.

A record breaking three students at Yirrkala College in North East Arnhem Land completed their NTCET mid-year.

The top 20 year 12 students to complete their NTCET were congratulated for their dedication in front of their parents, teachers and principals at Parliament House this morning.

Education Minister Selena Uibo was proud of all the graduates.

Ms Uibo applauded the Territory education system and families of the students.

“I would like to thank the many teachers and support staff, family and friends who supported our students to receive their best possible results,” she said.
