Territory Tourism vouchers to return on October 4 with $5m worth of adventures waiting

One of the NT’s most successful holiday campaigns will soon make its triumphant return with a date set for the next round of Territory Tourism vouchers.

Struggling Victorian businesses to receive $807 million boost

OCTOBER 4 is the date the Territory’s hottest campaign returns — Tourism vouchers.

Tourism Minister Natasha Fyles has revealed the Territory Government will open the next round of vouchers from 8pm on that date.

And Top End tourism operators can breathe a sigh of relief with the scheme remaining unchanged.

Round four of the $5m Territory Tourism vouchers will offer four months of border free travel experiences with $200 vouchers available.

“The additional $200 bonus claim incentive is there for Territorians who travel more than 400km in a one-way trip to encourage journeys to our far flung tourism gems,” she said.

“Territory tourism businesses continue to be at the forefront of the impacts of Covid-19 pandemic and they need support to keep strong and protect Territory jobs.

“We know the Territory Tourism Vouchers are extremely popular with the first three rounds delivering $26.7m in tourism bookings.

“This is a fabulous opportunity to holiday at home in the Territory this Christmas and New Year holiday period with bookings open until the end of January.

“The Territory Labor Government has invested $20.2m to deliver four rounds of tourism vouchers and boost business for our iconic tourism industry.” Operators have pleaded with Territorians to grab a voucher and spend their Christmas break at home in the NT, rather than risk going away and coming home to quarantine.

Vouchers will be issued in a staggered system to Territorians who have successfully registered from October 7.

“It was what the industry wanted and needed to survive,” he said. “Over the last down season they went gangbusters.” The Territory Tourism Vouchers are open to any Territorian aged 18 or over.
