ACTIVATE Darwin wants to hear your ideas to create, activate and improve public spaces in Darwin City.
The Transforming Public Spaces Challenge provides the opportunity for individuals, businesses, community groups and non-profit organisations to get creative, think outside the box and submit ideas that will enhance walkability, greenery and activation in the city.
Activate Darwin Advisory Board member, Jason Hanna said he is excited to hear ideas from the community and to focus on positive change within the city.
“The Challenge is a great opportunity for people to put forward ideas and turn them into reality, with support from the Activate Darwin Board and team,” Mr Hanna said.
“The Transforming Public Spaces Challenge provides an opportunity for people who live and work in Darwin to drive change and create positive action for the City.”
A total funding pool of $200,000 is available, with a maximum grant of $20,000 on offer for ideas that will create positive change in Darwin. Ideas can be submitted to https://cbd.nt.gov.au
Once the Challenge closes on September 30, the Activate Darwin Advisory Board will shortlist ideas before putting them out for public vote.
The most supported ideas will receive funding and become a reality!
