Dragon Court restaurant at Mindil Beach Casino Resort is set to dazzle diners this Lunar New Year with a unique dining experience celebrating tradition, togetherness, and exquisite flavours.

Running from January 29 to February 16, the Lunar New Year feast features a specially curated set menu for groups of four or more, priced at $110 per person.

Head Chef Yuke’s inspiration stems from his cultural roots, along with a passion for modern cooking techniques.

“I am honoured to contribute with my talent and skills to bring the best of the Chinese food to our guests,” he shared.

“I want to take them on a premium food journey for this special occasion.”

For Chef Yuke, Lunar New Year holds deep meaning.

“It’s about family reunion, where friends and relatives come together to share meals and celebrate. It’s also a time to say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new one with hope and best wishes,” he said.

Chef Yuke elaborated on the key dishes of the menu.

“Each dish reflects the joy and abundance of the Lunar New Year. The service starts with Rainbow Yu Seng. In Asia, we prepare this dish as a starter, and everyone mixes it with chopsticks. The more you mix, the more luck and fortune you’ll receive in the coming year.

“Next, we have Lobster San Chow Bao, a premium seafood dish with lobster that brings top-level flavours to every bite.

“For the Abalone Conpoy Soup, I slow-cook the stock using traditional methods, then add abalone and Conpoy to create an irresistible taste.

“Finally, the Golden Red Bean Soup symbolises both reunion and remembrance. The red bean represents missing loved ones, while the glutinous balls signify togetherness. The gold leaves added to the soup bring a feeling of luxury and royalty, showing my deep respect for my guests and wishing them a prosperous year ahead.”

Beyond the food, the atmosphere at Dragon Court will be equally enchanting, with festive decorations and warm service to complement this special menu. “Chef Yuke brings not only exceptional skill but also a deep understanding of the cultural significance of this event,” shared Executive Head Chef Guarav, “His passion for creating meaningful dining experiences aligns perfectly with what we aim to offer our guests at Mindil Beach Casino Resort”.
