Dashcam footage has caught the moment a car swerves all over the Southern Expressway and nearly goes under the wheels of a passing truck.

Shocking dashcam footage reveals the moment a car nearly goes under the wheels of a B-double truck travelling at speed on the Southern Expressway.

The footage, posted by Dashcams Adelaide on Sunday, shows a white car suddenly swerving in the middle lane while the truck powers past, just missing each other.

The car wobbles but is not hit by the truck, while the vehicle carrying the camera continues on, leaving the white car behind as other traffic tries to avoid it.

Commenters were quick to ask if the poster was speeding, and whether it was a merge lane – and if the speed limit was 80km/h or 100.

“That’s the southbound merge from Darlington entry,” wrote one poster.

“Very common to see people doing all kinds of random s**t as the left merge lanes become one, the middle lane has slow trucks in it, and others trying to dart across to the right before getting boxed in.

“In this case it looks like the Corolla was casually sitting right alongside the semi as the two lanes become one. Never going to come out a winner in that situation.”
