A South Australian police officer has been suspended without pay as he faces court on serious domestic violence charges, including allegedly threatening his ex-wife with his service pistol.
Tim Waverley Morrison, 35, was stationed at Christies Beach before his arrest in February, with 7News revealing on Monday that Mr Morrison has been charged with aggravated assault, aggravated threaten to kill or endanger life and aggravated assault with a weapon.
Court documents obtained by 7News state the father of two allegedly used a knife and firearm during the alleged assaults, which took place between June and December 2019 and September and October 2019.
Mr Morrison was alleged to be on-duty when he used his service pistol to threaten his ex-wife, according to 7News.
SAPOL confirmed to The Advertiser that Mr Morrison had been suspended without pay, but would not comment on matters “currently before the courts”.
Mr Morrison remains on bail ahead of his next court appearance in August.
