Breathtaking footage has captured the moment a student brandished a knife at a school in the northern suburbs and began threatening other students.

A shocking video reveals the moment a student pulled a knife at a northern suburbs school.

The footage obtained by 7News reveals a student holding a knife and a black bag before advancing towards one of their peers – who was filming the incident.

The incident occurred on Wednesday morning.

“Do you actually want to get stabbed?” the student is heard saying.

“Why the f*ck are you recording, mate?”

The student who is recording then begins running in the opposite direction away from the knife-wielding student.

Teachers were alerted to the incident, and informed police.

According to 7News the Education Department confirmed that the student has been suspended.

A SAPOL spokesperson said patrols were called to the school after reports of a student being in possession of a knife.

“Staff from the school located the student, confiscated the knife and awaited police attendance,” the spokesperson said.

“There was no threats or injuries to anyone.

“Police spoke with the student from the northern suburbs who has been reported for possession of a knife at school premises. He will be dealt with via the juvenile justice system.”
