Shots fired at Glen Osmond home where siege took place in September 2024

Gunshots have peppered a home in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs overnight, which is believed to be the same home that was involved in a high-profile siege last year.

Police are investigating after shots were fired at a home in one of Adelaide’s affluent eastern suburbs overnight.

A spray of bullets were launched at the two-storey Glen Osmond property, with fragments of glass seen on the roof of a Mercedes vehicle parked in the driveway.

Just after midnight on Thursday, police were called to usually-quiet Elinor Tce after reports of gunshots ringing out.

A glass balustrade from the first-floor balcony was damaged and officers found visible holes in the facade of the building, police say.

FIVEAA are reporting a person may have been home during the incident but was not cooperating with police.

Police said no one was injured.

Images from the home show glass smashed from the second storey had fallen over a Mercedes-Benz in the home’s driveway, behind a padlocked gate.

A basketball ring is set up in the driveway, near where bullet damage was spotted.

The Advertiser understands it is the same house involved in a six-hour siege last year where a man was tasered and arrested. It is unknown at this stage if there is any link between the two events.

Police descended on a house in Elinor Tce at Glen Osmond on September 21. When officers approached the door, the man refused to come outside and locked the doors.

Amid fears the man had weapons, heavily armed STAR-Group officers and negotiators were called in to help end the siege.

Just before 8am on Thursday, one police vehicle remained at the scene as detectives and three police officers taped off a portion of the street – on each side of the property – while they searched and examined the scene.

Some residents on the quiet suburban street were seen going about the normal routine, including taking out bins, walking their dogs, or leaving their property. However they decline to comment on the incident.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the shooting or who saw any suspicious vehicles or activity in the area to report it to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
