Traffic clears following serious crash but Wingfield ramp remains closed

Peak hour traffic chaos has now cleared but police say motorists should plan to avoid the area for hours to come.

Peak hour traffic has cleared along the North-South Motorway but the Wingfield ramp remained closed at 7.30pm Wednesday following a serious crash.

A collision unfolded on the Wingfield interchange at Dry Creek, on ramp to the motorway, just after 4.30pm.

SA Police have advised drivers to avoid the area and find another route if possible.
