Review: Fatboy Slim returns to Adelaide for a set filled with classic hits and remixes at Peter Lehmann Wines

South Aussie fans have been treated to a mesmerising two hour set by the British DJ. Read the review.

Fatboy Slim does not understand technology in music

Iconic British DJ and musician Fatboy Slim took over the stage at Peter Lehmann Wines on Friday night proving that you don’t survive decades in the music industry without talent.

The electrifying two-hour set took his fans and performance attendees alike through a journey of his most iconic hits as well as refreshing new remixes.

Opening with his much loved remix of Clubs/Put Your Hands Up, the 61-year-old set the tone for the evening.

He played some of his classic hits - The Rockafeller Skank, Ya Mama, Role Model, Eat Sleep Rave Repeat and Praise You.

He also remixed some much loved songs, Habits (Stay High) by Tove Lo, Da Whip by Afriqua, Mr Brightside by The Killers, Wonderwall by Oasis and more.

He encouraged the audience to duck down, clap and sing along, making for a wholesome viewing experience.

Eventually Slim, whose real name is Norman Quentin Cook, asked the captivated audience to repeat the words: “I am not a sinner, for I am a winner” during his song Role Model.

Whether it’s a gorilla playing drums, Shaun Of The Dead actor Simon Pegg, or heads exploding, audiences never knew what to expect from Slim’s stage production - with the lights creating a 3D cloudy night sky and fire bursting from the stage during his hit remix Eat Sleep Rave Repeat.

Whatever happened, the audience was mesmerised.

Towards the middle of his set he asked the audience via his screens, who by then, were all fans, “are we having fun yet?” - The answer? A clear yes.

Slim, who hasn’t performed in Australia since 2023, attended Peter Lehmann Wines as part of his Fatboy Slim Loves Australia 2025 Tour.

He arrived on stage at 8pm after performances by special guests DJ Seinfeld, CC:Disco! and Jennifer Loveless.

“Like the crazy drunk uncle who turns up every Xmas I’m coming back to my Aussie fam once again,” he said when his tour was announced.

“Expect the usual inappropriate behaviour and interpretational dancing.”
