A scooter rider has been struck by a driver who fled the scene and police are appealing to the public to find answers.

Police are hunting for a driver who fled the scene of a crash that has left a push scooter rider in hospital.

A 20-year-old man riding a push scooter was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Honeypot Road and Main South Road, Hackham West about 1.30pm on Saturday, October 26.

The vehicle had left the scene before emergency services arrived, and is yet to be located.

The scooter rider was taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any dashcam footage that may assist the investigation.
