A Seaton man has been charged over inner-south suburbs armed robbery at a inner-south liquor store, earlier this month.

A western suburbs man has been charged over a robbery at a inner-south bottle shop, earlier this month.

At 2.45pm on Sunday March 3, police officers were called to Liquorland Kurralta Park on Anzac Highway after a man entered the store with a suspected firearm.

The man allegedly threatened staff and took an unknown quantity of cash and alcohol before fleeing north towards Mortimer Street.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police helicopters and search dogs were used in the area to attempt to find the suspect.

Following an investigation from Southern and Western District officers, a 49-year-old Seaton man was arrested on Wednesday.

He was charged with aggravated robbery and firearm offences, and has been refused bail to appear in Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the robbery and are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
