O-no O-Bahn Mix-up
Adelaide’s Mix102.3 morning show host Hayley Pearson was accused by co-host Max Burford of “committing one of Adelaide’s cardinal sins” — driving down the O-Bahn.
The bright purple Mix van spotted lodged on the O-Bahn track, with South Australian Police Commissioner Grant Stevens joining in on the pile on.
“Hayley you are looking at a breach of the road rules for not paying attention due attention and without paying due care, this is a serious offence,” Mr Stevens said.
“After a thorough investigation on 1 April 2025 …. this is an April Fools gotcha moment.”

Firefighter Bubs

Introducing an Australia first – baby firefighters, with the CFS branch claiming it would offer Baby Firefighting Course 1, enabling babies to respond 24/7 to incidents, and that change tables and nappy bins had been installed in all units.

Move over Sam Neill and The Dish, there is a new iconic Australian space film, and it will star a glorious Stobie pole, standing tall upon the moon.
SA Power Networks made the announcement to light up the dark side of the moon for the space community.

With a bit of bitterness still lingering from the AFL’s decision to call stumps on a fairytale Adelaide Oval Sheffield Shield final, SANFL have decided to one-up the AFL in its spiritual home, the MCG.

Bold plans for Australia’s hottest city have been announced, with a Menz Chocolate World proposed for the old LeCornu site on Anzac Highway.
The problem with chocolate is it’s bound to melt, with Menz announcing a Christmas 2026 opening date, we hope it can withstand the Adelaide heat.

The Hills have theme park ideas of their own.
Idyllic Hahndorf will host the ultimate sausage party — ‘The Big Bratwurst’ — complete with a sausage-themed rides and enough bratwurst to burst.
