Looking to add another little addition to the family this Christmas?
Meet the latest bundle of furry energy looking to be adopted from Scruffer Lovers Inc — Holly, Star, Grinch, Pudding, and Faith.
This Christmas litter of six golden retriever cross greyhound puppies, named in spirit of the festive season, have come just in time to spread some Christmas cheer with their hopeful new families.
Scruffer Lovers Inc was set up in the mid 2000s to help SA pound dogs avoid being euthanised, before turning into a non-profit organisation dedicated to rehoming abandoned and surrendered pups.
Assistant Chairperson Anita Palmer said the organisation is entirely voluntary run and driven by the desire to find forever homes for the dogs.
“We just want them to get the good home that they deserve,” Anita Palmer said.
“Even with the dogs that we have, they’ve had a rough life. They just need to be loved and have a nice home to live out their days”.
The charity aims to provide loving homes and avoid dogs living on the street or facing euthanasia.
“We often get older dogs that have been surrendered to us and had a bad life and you just want them to have a happy life”.
If you’re considering adding a furry friend to your family this Christmas, why not give one of these pups the best gift of all – a loving home?
That sounds like a Christmas miracle.
