Two people have been arrested after allegedly stealing large amounts of alcohol from multiple eastern suburbs stores.

A man was arrested for theft and receiving after police found dozens of stolen alcohol bottles at an Adelaide home on Friday.

Following an investigation, Eastern District police teams searched the 68-year-old’s home in response to reports of stolen alcohol at the address.

Officers found 50 bottles of alcohol they will allege were stolen during a number of recent bottle shop thefts in the eastern suburbs.

Prescription medication, a small amount of drugs and drug paraphernalia were also found by officers.

The man has been bailed to appear in court at a later date.

In an earlier incident, police arrested a 33-year-old Adelaide woman in possession of stolen alcohol.

Following reports of a theft, Eastern Operation Measure crews went to a Rose Park alcohol shop and scoured the nearby area.

Police found the woman with the stolen alcohol and after officers conducted further checks, it was revealed she was allegedly also wanted in relation to other theft matters.

She was then charged with a further 18 counts of theft and 15 breach of bail offences.

The woman is expected to face the Adelaide Magistrates Court on July 11.
