Krispy Kreme makes a (tasty) meal out of SA’s beloved Farmer’s Union Iced Coffee

South Aussies’ beloved Farmers Union Ice Coffee has always been like a meal in a carton but now you really can sink your teeth into one.

There’s a new way for South Australians to enjoy their favourite iced coffee drink.

For the first time, Farmers Union Iced Coffee will be used in a food product, with the iconic SA brand teaming with Krispy Kreme for a new range of doughnuts.

Available for a limited time, the sweet treats feature a FUIC-flavoured kreme filling and coffee waterfall glaze.

Bishma Weeraman, FUIC senior brand manager, said the collaboration was a “perfect match”. “We’ve had other companies approach us before but we thought this was a great fit for our brand,” she said.

“You definitely get the true FUIC taste, that milky iced coffee flavour.”

Founded in 1977 by a co-operative of SA dairy farmers, FUIC is still made in Salisbury.

Last year, Australian-owned Bega Cheese bought the brand from Japanese alcohol giant Kirin.

The doughnuts are on sale today in SA OTR stores and in Krispy Kreme shops.
