The family of Jacamo ‘Jamie’ Corsaro have spoken out about the young father following his tragic death on Sunday.

Jamie, 22, died after his motorcycle and an SUV collided on Grand Junction Rd at Hope Valley on Sunday — he died at the scene.

His cousin, who he lovingly referred to as “aunty” out of respect, Gloria Drokshan told The Advertiser Jamie was a kind and caring person.

“He would message me every day and always said to me ‘I love you Aunty Gloria’,” the 44-year-old said.

“His smile would light up the room and his laugh was infectious.

“He would always be the one to protect his cousins making sure no one would bully them.”

Ms Drokshan said Jamie loved his young daughter and has “a different kind of halo” whenever she was around.

“She was the perfect meaning to his life,” she said.

His uncle James Drokshan, Ms Drokshan’s husband, said he looked forward to visiting Jamie’s house to spend time with the 22-year-old.

“(I’m) still very shocked and saddened and will miss (my) chats and watching Jamie chase his alpacas away from our children,” he said.

“He always made me laugh and he always respected me, looked up to me. I loved him like a son.”

Jamie’s cousin Diala Drokshan, 19, said he was less like a cousin and “more like (her) older brother”.

“You always looked out for me and made sure I was okay,” she said.

“You truly had an irreplaceable heart, it is still unbearable that you are gone.

“I am thinking of you every second. I love you and miss you so much.”

15-year-old cousin Ilyas Drokshan said “I looked up to you like a big brother, you were always there and now your gone but your forever in our hearts.”

Jamie’s youngest cousins are rocked by his death with 10-year-old Ariana Drokshan saying his passing “hurts (her) heart”.

“You were my favourite cousin,” she said.

“(You) were always nice to me and always said ‘Ari, I’ll always be there for you’.

“Now you’re gone … I love you so much. My memories of you are the best times, when you would make sure we didn’t get chased by the animals on your property, I’ll never forget that.

“Your laugh, and voice is forever in my mind. I love you.”

Six-year-old Ramin Drokshan said “I feel like crying, I love you Jamie” while four-year-old Yasmin said simply, “I love you Jamie”.

The SUV driver, a 43-year-old Hope Valley man, was not injured in the crash.

Jamie was the 64th person to die on South Australian roads this year.
