Three 16-year-olds have been arrested overnight over a rampage of knifepoint robberies and a police chase through the northern suburbs.
Around 11.20pm on Friday three teens approached a man armed with knives allegedly demanding his personal property along Elizabeth Way in Elizabeth.
The teens then allegedly smashed the windows of a nearby sport centre before threatening a second victim and stealing his belongings.
They continued on to a gym nearby and allegedly threatened a third man with knives, stealing his car keys.
The man’s green Suzuki Jimny was taken from the car park, which was spotted 20 minutes later along Montecute Rd at Cavan.
Police pursued the vehicle until Polair joined the chase which travelled through Prospect and Kilburn.
The Suzuki was road spiked on Churchill Rd, which led to the car leaving the road and colliding with a light pole at the intersection of Prospect Rd and Churchill before taking off along Alabama Ave and colliding with a parked, unoccupied Toyota Corolla.
Three teens were seen exiting the vehicle post collision, and the three 16-year-olds from Elizabeth Vale, Elizabeth and Enfield were arrested a short time later.
They were all charged with three counts of aggravated robbery, illegal use, aggravated serious criminal trespass, carrying an offensive weapon and detaining a person to commit an indictable offence.
They were granted police bail to appear in Elizabeth Youth Court in November.
The three victims were not physically injured as a result of the incident.
