Baby escapes serious injuries after ute collides with truck and rolls into petrol station

A toddler and family have escaped serious injuries after their four-wheel-drive ute collided with a truck.

A toddler and family have escaped serious injuries after their four-wheel-drive ute collided with a truck and rolled into a petrol station in Adelaide’s north on Tuesday.

At 9:30am, police and emergency services were called to the On the Run service station on Port Wakefield Rd at Cavan to a crash involving a utility and a truck, causing the utility to roll.

The driver of the dark grey Ford Ranger utility, a 43-year-old Beulah Park woman, and two passengers including a baby were taken to hospital for assessment and treatment of minor injuries, according to 7NEWS Adelaide.

The truck driver, a 56-year-old Windsor Gardens’ man, was uninjured and is assisting police with their inquiries.

One south bound lane was closed for a short time while emergency services cleared the area.
