Man dies after single-vehicle crash on Tanby Road, near Yeppoon

Police have confirmed a person has died after a single-vehicle crash closed a busy road in the Rockhampton region on Friday.

A man has died after a single-vehicle crash on a busy road in the Rockhampton region on Friday.

Tanby Rd in Yeppoon was closed for hours on Friday after a car crashed into a tree about 9.30am.

On Sunday, a Queensland Police Service spokeswoman confirmed it was a fatal crash.

She said police were not able to release any other details.

On Friday, police said a male driver was the only person in the vehicle when it crashed.

Police put partial road closures in place while emergency crews attended the scene.
