Queensland Police have renewed calls for crucial dashcam footage as part of the investigation into a missing Queensland mother.

New information in the disappearance of 29-year-old Tayla Spies has revealed the young woman left a hotel in Dalby about 8am on Sunday morning, travelling west towards Surat.

A police spokesman said her vehicle was last seen at the intersection of Burrowes and Cordelia streets in Surat about 11.10am, with police having conducted aerial searches of the area as part of Operation Xray Spa.

Initial reports indicated she was last seen on Sunday, February 2, between the hours of 10am and 1pm travelling along the Carnarvon Highway south of Roma in a white 2017 Toyota HiLux.

Investigators are now asking anyone who was travelling between the Dalby, Surat and surrounding areas between the hours of 10.30am and 12.30pm on February 2 to check their dash-camera footage.

Tayla Spies was last seen travelling along the Carnarvon Highway, just south of the Condamine turn-off heading towards Roma between the hours of 10am and 1pm, on Sunday afternoon February 2.

Tayla is described as caucasian, with brown shoulder length hair, blue eyes, slim build and approximately 170cms tall, and has the word KARMA tattooed across her chest.

She was last seen wearing a fluorescent pink long sleeve shirt and light-coloured shorts.

Detective Inspector Gary Watts earlier said police did conduct some aerial searches with Polair around the Surat area without any luck.

“Along with the aerial assets, we have also had police patrols out looking for Tayla and her vehicle.

“We are hoping we can jog someone’s memory, and they come forward.”

Tayla’s friends and family have launched their own search efforts to support the police.

“We share her family’s concern,” Inspector Watts said.

“We have grave concerns about her safety, she has gone quiet in the previous times, but never for this long. “It was her birthday a few days ago, she turned 29 and there was no contact with family which is out of character.”
