Police launch public appeal for information after Gordonvale man killed in buggy rollover near Mt Isa

Police have renewed calls for anyone with information or dashcam vision of a crash that saw a Gordonvale man killed in a buggy rollover at Mount Isa last month to come forward.

Police have renewed calls for anyone with information or dashcam vision of a crash that saw a Gordonvale man killed in a buggy rollover at Mount Isa last month to come forward.

Emergency services were called to the scene just after 12.30am on Sunday June 23, after reports an ATV buggy travelling along Moondarra Drive, near Ryan Rd at Lanksey, had left the road and rolled.

Upon arrival, CPR was rendered to a 49-year-old Gordonvale man who was later declared deceased on scene.

Early investigations into the crash suggest that an ATV buggy was driving dangerously before it rolled on Moondarra Drive.

Detectives from the Mount Isa Criminal Investigation Branch are urging anyone who was in the area on the night of June 22 and the early morning of June 23 to contact police, or report information anonymously to Crime Stoppers.

Investigations into the fatal crash are continuing.
