Police are investigating the death of a 42-year-old in Far North Queensland after he was initially found unresponsive with critical injuries.

Police are investigating the death of a 42-year-old in Far North Queensland after he was initially found unresponsive with critical injuries.
At around 11:20pm, emergency services were called to a park near Foxton Ave in Mossman north of Pt Douglas following reports of a man being found unconscious.
The 42-year-old Mossman was later declared deceased at the scene.
Police said a crime scene has been declared, and a 25-year-old man is assisting police.
Both men were known to each other, and there is no ongoing concern to other members of the community in Mossman.
Investigators are appealing to anyone with information that may assist investigations to come forward.
