A teenage boy has sustained significant burns in a backyard fire.

The young man suffered burns to his arms and legs at a property in Camira, in Ipswich, leaving him in a potentially life-threatening condition.

The incident happened about 6.30pm Saturday and was one of two involving backyard fires that night, with a woman in her 70s sustaining facial burns at a property in Lowood just after 6.15pm.

The woman was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.

These incidents come just days after a man in his 30s received potentially life-threatening burns to his arms and legs following another backyard fire incident in New Beith late Wednesday night.
