Road closed as crews battle Ipswich house fire

Emergency services are currently working to contain a house fire in Ipswich, with police cordoning off a street and asking the public to avoid the area.

Emergency services are currently working to contain a house fire in Ipswich, with police cordoning off a street and asking the public to avoid the area.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said multiple crews were called to the house fire on Falcon Street in Redbank Plains just before 3pm Sunday, with additional crews called to assist their efforts.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the fire had fully engulfed the premises, with police closing Falcon Street between Goldfinch St and Wren St.
