Road closed as crews battle Ipswich house fire

Police are investigating the cause of a house fire in Redbank Plains on Sunday, with the house fully engulfed by flames when crews arrived.

Police are investigating the cause of a house fire in Redbank Plains on Sunday, with the house fully engulfed by flames when crews arrived.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said multiple crews were called to the house on Falcon Street in Redbank Plains just before 3pm Sunday, with additional crews called to assist their efforts.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the fire had fully engulfed the premises before crews arrived, with police closing Falcon Street between Goldfinch St and Wren St for a period of time.

Two people were found safe and well outside the house.

The fire was brought under control around 4pm.

Police have since asked for any witnesses or anyone with relevant vision that could assist with their investigation are urged to contact police.
