A man is fighting for life after he was trapped under a car in Brisbane’s north.
Emergency services rushed to Imbros St at Nundah about 7.51am after reports a man was trapped underneath a car and needed freeing.
A man in his 50s was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Three fire crews attended the scene to assist the person trapped under the car.
Initial investigations show a car was stationary, with a mechanical issue.
The car rolled back on to the man as he investigated the issue.
Anyone with relevant information or dashcam or CCTV vision is urged to contact police.
In a separate incident, an elderly man suffered a significant head injury in an incident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at Burpengary East on Thursday morning.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on the Bruce Highway Eastern Service Road after receiving the call around 9am.
Initial investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit into the crash suggest a Ford Falcon was travelling northbound on the Bruce Highway Eastern Service Rd, Burpengary before it struck a 93-year-old man.
The Burpengary East man received a life-threatening head injury and was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the Ford, a 65-year-old Bray Park man, did not receive any physical injuries.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have relevant information or vision to come forward.
