FEDERAL Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese has touched down in Darwin, sticking the boot into the Prime Minister as he looks to lay the groundwork for his next tilt at the top job.
Just moments after landing at Darwin International Airport, Mr Albanese took a tour of the Rapid Creek Markets flanked by fellow MP and Member for Solomon Luke Gosling, who ambushed him with a laksa.

The Opposition Leader, who spoke largely about Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk’s triumph on Saturday, said he would be in town for several days to outline his vision for the Top End.
“I will be visiting defence facilities, we’ll be looking at housing, we’ll be looking at childcare, we’ll be meeting with community leaders and meeting with the community at places like (Rapid Creek),” Mr Albanese said.
He attacked the Federal Government over its track record of meeting its election commitments in the NT.

“Nothing flows through, whether it be emergency response funds, whether it be water funds, whether it be infrastructure.”
