5.7 magnitude earthquake in the Banda Sea rattles Darwin residents
TREMORS from a 5.7 magnitude earthquake in the Banda Sea have been felt by some residents in Darwin this afternoon.

TREMORS from a 5.7 magnitude earthquake were felt by some residents in Darwin today.
According to Geoscience Australia, the earthquake occurred about 1.15pm in the Banda Sea at a depth of 180km.
More than 140 people in the NT reported they felt the quake.
The Bureau of Meteorology has advised there is no tsunami threat.
