Community COVID-19 vaccine clinic to open in Katherine on May 25, after months-long wait
Katherine residents will be able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine locally from later this month with the upcoming launch of a community vaccine clinic in the town.

KATHERINE residents will be able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine locally from later this month with the upcoming launch of a community vaccine clinic in the town.
The NT Health clinic will open on Tuesday, May 25 at the Katherine Training Centre at 19 Second Street.
The centre will operate Tuesday to Thursday each week.
Residents over the age of 50, as well as those eligible under Phase 1A and Phase 1B of the national vaccine rollout, will be able to receive the jab as soon as the clinic opens.

They are being urged to book an appointment as soon as possible.
While the COVID-19 vaccine started being administered in Darwin, Palmerston and Alice Springs in February, there has been no access to the jab for non-Indigenous residents in Katherine until now, due to a lack of GP capacity.
Katherine resident Gene Roser, 66, previously told the NT News some locals were fed up with the months-long wait to receive the jab in town and had resorted to travelling to Darwin to access it.
