THE odds are in favour of Labor to win the Territory election with Chief Minister Michael Gunner tipped to hold onto his top job according to bookies.
The prediction by major bookmaker Sportsbet comes as Territorians prepare to head to the polls on election day on Saturday.
The market shows Labor, backed from $1.40 into $1.35, is favourite to win the election.
It has marked the Country Liberal Party as the second favourite at $4.00, followed by the Territory Alliance at $8.50.
Mr Gunner is $1.50 to wear no tie or a bow tie during his after election speech.
Political commentator Antony Green is $1.25 to call Saturday’s election winner before midnight and $3.75 later than that.

“It’s difficult to gauge the polling in the NT, but Labor hold 85 per cent of turnover with punters firmly in the corner of Gunner being returned to office,’’ said Sportsbet’s Rich Hummerston.
