NT POLICE is investigating the suspicious death of a 71-year-old man found dead in his caravan in Jingili on Tuesday.
Detectives from the Major Crime Squad have been gathering evidence and door knocking on Freshwater Rd since the body of John “Frank” Cassidy, was discovered.
Police say the man is believed to have died between Saturday, April 13 and Tuesday, April 16.
The deceased, known as Frank to nearby residents, was discovered after swarms of flies surrounded his caravan at a residence near the corner of Freshwater Rd and Ada St.

Frank is understood to have lived at the caravan site on Freshwater Rd for at least two years where he kept to himself and occasionally rode his bike.
He was believed to have been in good health before he was found.
NT Police is calling on anyone who has any information to come forward.
“Detectives wish to speak with any person who may have had recent contact with the deceased or can assist in identifying his movements during this period,” NT Police said.
“Police also want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed any unusual behaviour in the area of Freshwater Drive, Jingili since Saturday, April 13.
