CLUB and NRL NT officials don’t want to comment on the drug and weapons charges laid against NT Police officer and Palmerston Raiders coach Daniel Keelan.
Keelan faced Darwin Local Court on Monday after he was arrested on Friday and charged with drug supply and possession, stealing and firearms offences.
Palmerston Raiders president Rodney Greenwood refused to comment on the charges against his A-grade coach claiming it had nothing to do with the club.

“This is a police matter and has nothing to do with our club. No comment,” Greenwood said in a text message to the NT News after decline to comment on the phone.
NRL NT general manager Nigel Roy said he only found out about the allegations when they were printed in the media on Monday, though expressed concern for Keelan on behalf of the NRL NT.
“The NRL NT is concerned for Daniel’s wellbeing in this time and hope that he is okay,” Roy told the NT News.

“Though we are also understanding of the enormity of the situation and will continue to assess the situation but as it’s a police matter we can’t currently comment any further.
“Similar to the general public we were only made aware of the situation when it appeared in the media on Monday.”
