Police are seeking public help after an Alice Springs man was charged with high-range drink-driving with his six-year-old daughter in the car.

The man was pulled over late Friday after reports of hooning in the CBD.

The man was tested and allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.213 and has been charged with high-range drink-driving and driving while suspended.

Police want to speak to anybody who may have details of the movements of the man’s vehicle in previous days.

Southern Watch Commander Senior Sergeant Tim Healey said the inquiries related to reports of hooning by a driver in a blue Toyota Camry around Alice Springs in previous days.

He encouraged witnesses who may have seen the Camry to contact police with the reference number 10198279.

“Our message is for road users not to drink drive but to get home safely to families,” Sergeant Healey said.
