A SMALL suburban supermarket has taken out a national award at the IGA Awards of Excellence.
Zuccoli IGA was awarded the Community Award for 2021 in a ceremony on Friday night.
In a statement on Facebook, owners Ken and Shelly Lay said they were “extremely humbled” to receive the award.
“We would like to thank our wonderful team of staff who continue to go above and beyond for our customers. Without you, receiving this award would not be possible,” they said.
“Since we took over our IGA two years ago, we have always felt so grateful to be a part of such a wonderful community within Zuccoli.
“There is one reason we open the doors of our store 365 days a year and that sole reason is because of the people who walk through them.
