MARLOW Lagoon Dog Park is set to become even more of a pooch paradise with upgrades planned, and two more dog parks proposed for Palmerston.
With a dedicated space to be provided for small, quiet and elderly dogs, along with shading, irrigation upgrades and double gated entry, the dog park is set to become one of the most accessible in the Top End.

Meanwhile, plans are already underway for a new dog park in Bakewell — expected to be open in January next year — with the prospect of a third dog park in Zuccoli or Johnston.
The new parks will help provide facilities for some of the 6500 registered dogs in the satellite city.
Palmerston Mayor Athina Pascoe-Bell said Marlow Lagoon’s upgrades had been supported by 336 dog owners over a six-week consultation period.
“It is clear that the Marlow Lagoon Dog Park is an important public asset for our community and we are eager to provide you and your furry friends with an upgraded facility to enjoy,” she said.
