THE Northern Territory government has some strong words to those Territorians in regional NSW – come back now.
The worsening Covid-19 situation in Sydney needs to be taken seriously and if you’re in regional NSW it might be time to hightail it out of there or risk being caught in a hot spot.
Health Minister Natasha Fyles has warned that if the situation worsens, “our CHO won’t hesitate to expand that hot spot declaration that presently is in place for greater metropolitan Sydney, and a number of local government areas”.
It’s a stark warning that reflects the nature of Covid-19 – it’s unpredictable and will catch out those who aren’t prepared.
On another note, we can welcome back people from Brisbane and the Moreton Bay area after the hot spots were lifted at 5pm on Sunday.
Through quick measures Brisbane has been able to contain an outbreak and now the Territory can welcome its neighbours back.
