Australia Day: If not January 26, then when?

NO matter how you choose to celebrate Australia Day, or whether you celebrate it at all, it is a wonderful opportunity to recognise those in our community who do such important work.

This year, 19 incredible Territorians are being awarded the highest honours in the country for the work they’ve done over years to make the Territory a better place.

The achievements of this year’s Australia Day Honours recipients span from medicine, to activism, law, media and music.

Regardless of what they do or what their background is, these are the Territorians who set an example for everyone else every day, not because they expect to be rewarded for it, but just because they can.
