HUGH DAWSON is the toast of the Territory and its cattle industry after being named the 2021 NT Young Achiever of the Year on Friday night.
Hugh was the standout finalist for his efforts in helping to develop the Future Northern Territory Cattleman’s Association (Future NTCA) program.
The program for young industry leaders guides them on forming connections and communication skills.
Hugh has worked as a NT representative of the Young Livestock Exporters Network and Adviser to the working committee for The Livestock Collective. He is completing a Certificate IV in Agriculture and is head stockman at Beetaloo Station.

Now actively involved in the Young Livestock Exporters Network as well as The Livestock Collective, Hugh is passionate in improving the public perception of the wider agricultural community as well as promoting the opportunities and benefits of a career in Agriculture in Australia.
The winner of the Excellence in Youth Leadership was Mr Ben Poveda-Alfonso.
