YOUNG cattle industry leader Will Evans has been appointed the new chief executive of the Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association after a two month search.

Mr Evans, who replaces former chief executive Ashley Manicaros after his shock exit from the role in mid-December, has worked in policy development with the Cattle Council of Australia based in Canberra before moving to Darwin for the Northern Territory Live Exporters Association in 2018.
According to Beef Central, Mr Evans has worked with Governments at all levels in his roles on behalf of the industry, focusing on logistics and transportation through COVID lockdowns and finding workable solutions to Australian Standards for the Export of Livestock operating regulations.

Mr Evans will formally commence in the role in the week leading up to the NTCA conference in Alice Springs in late March.
