A new food truck launched by a popular western Sydney dessert bar owner and TikToker has burned down after the truck caught on fire late Tuesday evening.
Jackie Naous, owner of the Goodbar franchises, took to social media to inform fans of the popular Chester Hill dessert bar that their newly opened ‘Fried Bar’ food truck in Prestons was destroyed in the blaze.
“Last night our Fried Bar food truck caught on fire and it’s totally gone and ruined,” Ms Naous said.
“Everything is covered in ash. It’s going to take us a little while to clean it up and we need to make sure that the structure is still good.”
The fire comes only months after Ms Naous launched her latest food enterprise the ‘Fried Bar’.
Video footage posted to Ms Naous’ Goodbar social media pages shows the gutted food truck and damages caused to Ms Naous’ Goodbar shop front.
“There is a lot of damage to the property. I think it’s like $250,000 worth of structural damage. The truck is entirely gone,” Ms Naous said.
“(Thank God) not one of my workers were hurt. Nobody was inside at the time. No one was hurt, none of the neighbours were hurt. It is what it is and we’ll be back.”
Ms Naous first launched the Goodbar in Chester Hill in 2022 after working 15 years in the hospitality sector.
The Goodbar has since launched in Prestons, Shellharbour and Blacktown.
