A 38-YEAR-OLD man slipped about 6m off a cliff at Dundee Beach and injured his spine, just hours after a 53-year-old woman became trapped under a rock at Crystal Falls in Katherine.
NT Police Northern Watch Commander Acting Senior Sergeant Justene Dwyer said about 5.30pm Friday night, Katherine police responded to reports of a woman slipping at Crystal Falls and becoming trapped under a rock.

“Police, St John, NTES and park rangers attended the area and worked together to free her,” she said.
“At 10pm, the female was successfully extracted and was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital via Careflight.
“The female is believed to have a fractured leg and but was described as being in a stable condition.”
Senior Sergeant Dwyer said about 10pm Friday, a 38-year-old man fell about 6 meters off a cliff at Dundee.

She said the man sustained suspected spinal injuries as well as injury to his face and head. “Humpty Doo police, NTES and St Johns attended,” she said.
“A rescue helicopter was also deployed from the RAAF base, however, experienced technical difficulties and had to turn back.
“The male was successfully moved from the beach at about 2am, and conveyed to RDH where his condition was noted as stable.”
